Renew your .LY domain before its expiry date whenever possible. A generated invoice or submitted payment is not confirmation that renewal completed; always verify the updated domain status and expiry date.

Renew from Client Area
- Sign in to the Register.ly Client Area.
- Open Domains and select My Domains.
- Choose the .LY domain you want to renew.
- Select the renewal action and review the renewal term, price, contact details, and payment method.
- Complete payment and any required verification.
- Return to the domain record and confirm the new expiry date and active status.
If the domain has already expired
- Register.ly’s normal renewal grace is up to 5 days after expiry, subject to the current status and successful processing.
- The registry may apply
ServerHoldfrom about one day after expiry, so the website and email can stop before the grace period ends. - If the normal renewal option is missing, contact support immediately. The domain may require recovery or restoration instead.
Avoid renewal interruptions
- Keep account and registrant email addresses current.
- Review renewal notices and invoices before the due date.
- Auto-renew can generate a renewal workflow but does not guarantee successful payment or renewal.
- For continuity, renew critical domains at least 7 days before expiry.
